My elderly mother fell and broke a bone. After being treated in the ER, she was admitted to the hospital. That’s where I met our new nurse. She showed such compassion and care for both my mom and me - it was amazing! She was very patient and spent a lot of time with mom. During the long hours of sitting alone in the hospital room, she kept checking on both my mom and me and made sure that I had what I needed. She listened and shared stories with me, helping make the time pass more quickly. She couldn’t have been more kind. She comforted me like any friend would. Not only was she a star, she was our angel.
