Memory Center
The mission of the Saint Alphonsus Memory Center is to help our community achieve and maintain the best possible brain function through a compassionate, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary approach to dementia prevention, treatment and education.
Difficulty remembering day-to-day events and often misplacing things are common experiences and can be frightening. Memory loss can be normal, or due to reversible causes, or it could indicate early signs of Alzheimer’s or other dementias. Early detection of reversible causes of loss and diagnosis of dementia are key to achieving and maintaining a high quality of life. Medications, nutritional deficiencies, thyroid problems, and depression are common causes of reversible loss. These are often misdiagnosed as Alzheimer’s Disease. Even in individuals with Alzheimer Dementia and or other dementias, there are many reversible factors that can be addressed to improve brain health and wellness.
The Saint Alphonsus Memory Center has a team of experts who can provide a thorough assessment of memory loss, explore access to the latest tests and treatments, and offer you enrollment in the comprehensive Brain Health Program. As part of the Brain Health Program, you will work with the team to develop an individualized strengths-based treatment plan to address risk factors and reversible causes of loss and cognitive decline.
