Trauma Team: Stop the Bleed Education and Outreach
To give our region the best emergency care available, Saint Alphonsus focuses on building teamwork with area EMS, fire, and law enforcement agencies, and continually provides education on the latest advances in medical care and transport. Our program offers in-depth, full-spectrum training, continuing education, and job shadow opportunities. Saint Alphonsus also provides a Trauma Education Conference that covers a broad range of topics related to trauma.
Fit and Fall Proof Class
Falls are one of the leading causes of death and injury for Idahoans age 65 and older. But they are preventable.
Register today. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Saint Alphonsus Family Center, located at 900 N Liberty St. Suite 204, Boise, Idaho. Classes are free!

Trauma Education Conference
Held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 a.m.
This is a bi-weekly education conference that covers a broad range of topics pertaining to trauma, ranging from interesting case presentation to specific topics related to trauma. Topics include pre-hospital care, care of patients along the age continuum, management of injuries in the inpatient setting, co-management of medical problems associated with trauma, and discharge/post-acute care.

ATLS
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is a course for physicians and advanced practice providers to learn the foundational principles of trauma resuscitation. This course teaches a systematic approach to the initial evaluation, treatment, and decision-making about definitive care for the injured patients.
Saint Alphonsus offers ATLS courses at the Regional Medical Center in Boise four times per year. Please check here for upcoming courses and more information on attending ATLS.
