Reduce Risks of Seniors Falling with Fit and Fall Proof Program

seniors falling, older adult exercises

Falls are one of the leading causes of death and injury for Idahoans age 65 and older. But they are preventable.

Fit and Fall Proof™ provide older adults a friendly and safe exercise program developed to help reduce the risk of falling. Trained staff and volunteers teach classes twice weekly for 1 hour. CLASSES ARE FREE.

After 10 weeks, 7 in 10 participants report improvements in their physical functioning, such as performing activities of daily living or walking. 3 in 4 participants report an increase in their energy level and improved mental health.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Boise campus. At the Nampa site, classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Participants can start at any time.
