Scott Christensen has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. He takes the post after serving most recently as Regional Director of Medical Imaging for the health system.

Christensen has been part of the Saint Alphonsus family for 35 years, serving first as Interventional Radiology Supervisor, and then Manager of Medical Imaging before assuming the regional director role.

“As Regional Director, Scott has provided operational leadership across Saint Alphonsus Health System, and has led many regional projects to standardize imaging operations, organizational formation, imaging protocols, policies, practices, budgets, and culture,” said David McFadyen, President of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. “His dedication to the Mission of Saint Alphonsus and to his community is unparalleled, and he will continue to serve as a dynamic leader for our hospital.”

In addition to his new role, Christensen will continue his leadership as Acute Care Champion for the health system’s transition to a new Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform. The new EMR system establishes a single unified patient record system designed to improve patient experience and provider access to patient information across the full continuum of care.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiologic Science Management from Boise State University.

As an active member of his community, Scott has been President of American Legion Baseball-Boise Senators, President of his local Church affiliation, and a committee member for the Boy Scouts of America, Ore-Ida Council.
