Saint Alphonsus to Open COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments to Ages 65+ on February 1

Following this week’s announcement by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to move to Phase 2.2 of the state’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, Saint Alphonsus Health System will make appointments available beginning Monday, February 1.
Idahoans 65 years and older can go online to begin scheduling their vaccination appointments at Saint Alphonsus hospitals and Medical Group clinics in Idaho on February 1. Visit www.saintalphonsus.org/getvaccinated for information about the vaccines and to access the scheduling tool.
Appointments can also be made by calling 1-888-578-COVID (1-888-578-2684). Due to the overwhelming call volume, wait times can be up to an hour, so patients are encouraged to schedule an appointment online.
While the state has opened vaccine access to those aged 65 and above, we are asking for those aged 80 and older to have the first opportunity to make an appointment for vaccination. We know demand is high and we are trying to serve those most vulnerable in our communities first.
Clinic appointments are subject to vaccine availability.
Those people who are in the first priority groups, including medical personnel, first responders, teachers, day care providers and others, can still make appointments to get their vaccinations by using the same website or phone number. Patients are asked to not make appointments with multiple providers.
