31st Anniversary in the Treasure Valley

Boise, Idaho – Holiday spirit fills the Boise Centre for the 31st year in a row with the Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees celebration. The Festival of Trees continues to be the premier holiday tradition in the Treasure Valley, stretching back to 1983. This year's event begins Tuesday, November 25th with the Festival of Trees black-tie Gala Celebration, and will open to the general public from November 26th through November 30th.

The Festival of Trees celebration transforms the Boise Centre into a wonderland of holiday splendor, featuring hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and holiday decor. Special features of the Festival of Trees include a family day (with carnival games), children’s scavenger hunt, visits with Santa, decorating contests, senior day, and more. Live performances are provided by local dance groups, choirs, and musicians; while over 1,000 volunteers from across the Treasure Valley help to make the event possible.

Since its inception, the Festival of Trees has raised more than $8 million to improve healthcare in the community. Funds raised from this year’s event will support the renovation of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center's cardiovascular operating room, which will help to sustain the Treasure Valley's highest caliber technologies and services for patients in need of specialized heart and lung care.

General admission prices are $7 for adults, $4 for Children (ages 3-12), $4 for seniors (ages 62 and over), $30 for families (6 individuals), and free for children ages 2 and under. To reserve an interview with a Festival of Trees representative, or to request an on-site station/media broadcast, please contact Joshua Schlaich at (208) 779-0560.
