Mobile Vaccine Unit Will Visit Kuna, Caldwell and Horseshoe Bend
Saint Alphonsus Health System’s Community Health & Well-Being team will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to three additional communities in June and July. Using a Mobile Vaccine Unit (MVU) provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the vaccination clinics will visit Kuna, Caldwell and Horseshoe Bend, starting on June 21.
Additionally, the MVU will return Weiser to administer booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine upon request. Patients interested in getting their first dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine will be able to schedule appointments at other Saint Alphonsus locations for their second vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine is approved for anyone age 12 and older, while the J&J vaccine can only be given to patients 18 years and older.
Appointments are not required to attend these free clinics, but optional pre-registration is available at www.saintalphonsus.org/vaxoutreach. Patients under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when receiving their vaccination or must submit a consent form signed by a parent or guardian. Consent forms are available through the scheduling website or can be signed at the clinics.
