Boise, Idaho – Saint Alphonsus Health System has named Joshua Schlaich the new Media Relations and Video Production Coordinator, working in the Marketing and Communications Department. Schlaich will be responsible for comprehensive media relations and video production, working to develop collaborative relationships with print, broadcast, and digital media.

“I’m proud to be representing a great organization like Saint Alphonsus,” Schlaich said. “Saint Alphonsus does such great work for the community and the opportunity to be a part of their mission of healing is truly exciting.”

Most recently, Schlaich served as Promotions Manager and Non-Traditional Revenue (NTR) Coordinator at Journal Communications. At Journal, he was responsible for content direction, editing, promotion development, messaging and product marketing for television, radio and web. Prior to 2010, Schlaich worked for Impact Radio Group, Journal Broadcast Group, Citadel Media, and Horizon Broadcasting, among others.

Schlaich has also produced and fundraised for large-scale community events in Idaho. These include the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration in Ann Morrison Park, American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women event, KRVB’s Concert for Cause, and KIVI’s Community Baby Shower. In all, Joshua’s events have raised over $100,000 for charitable causes in the Treasure Valley, positively impacting thousands of local residents.

Brad Hoaglun, the new Public Relations and Communication Manager at Saint Alphonsus, is pleased to have the new media specialist join the team. “Joshua has a depth of experience and natural talent that is essential for this position,” he said. “I know that his knowledge and charisma will be a highly valued asset to our plans as we move forward.” Joshua holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and is enrolled in a Master of Arts program in Communication at Boise State University.
