March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Hear first-hand the importance of getting a colonoscopy.

Meet Jordy, a 48-year-old father and husband who was recommended to get his first colonoscopy by his primary care provider. When he was told they found a cancerous mass, everything at point changed for Jordy. Thankfully, it was caught at an early stage and was removed successfully using minimally invasive robotic surgery, performed by colorectal surgeon, Dr. Anthony Dinallo.

As we recognize Colorectal Cancer Awareness during the month of March and throughout the year – it’s a good reminder to get your colonoscopy if you are 45 years of age or older, or have a family history or risk of colorectal cancer. If you’re not sure, talk to your primary care provider to see if getting a colonoscopy is right for you.
