Travel Medicine

Travel medicine or emporiatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and management of health problems of international travelers. Our Travel Medicine Clinic provides pre-travel consultation and evaluation as well as contingency planning during your travel.

I'm traveling overseas and need shots, what do I do?

Call 208-302-5200 and a Travel Medicine staff member will ask you questions regarding your trip. Depending on your travel destinations and health history, you will be scheduled for a counseling and/or immunization appointment with our travel nurse.
Locate your previous immunization records
Plan for the expense of your immunizations. Most insurance plans do not cover the cost of travel immunizations and prices can vary by where you are going. See FAQs for more information.
