Pulmonary and COPD Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation is designed to help patients who have had a cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack, coronary bypass surgery, coronary stent, heart transplant, heart valve repair or replacement, heart failure, or heart-related chest discomfort (angina). Under the direction of a cardiologist, a multidisciplinary team composed of a cardiac nurse, respiratory therapist, and exercise specialists design an individualized treatment plan for each patient with the goal of preventing future cardiovascular events. This team is able to provide expertise in complex cardiovascular patient case management including dietary management, smoking cessation and lifestyle modification.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps those with chronic pulmonary disorders, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Restrictive Lung Disease, achieve the most active and fulfilling lifestyle possible. Your personal rehabilitation goals will be developed according to your needs and expectations. Skilled professionals from various disciplines assist you with physical conditioning, breathing re-training, stress management and social needs in order to improve your overall quality of life.
