Racers on their marks and set to go Saturday, June 1, 2024

Saint Alphonsus and the Treasure Valley Family YMCA will host the 40th Annual Capitol Classic Kids Race on Saturday June 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Nearly 1,000 children are expected to participate in the one-mile run down Capitol Boulevard from the historic Boise Train Depot to Cecil D. Andrus Park.

Children of all abilities from age 6-14 are invited to join in the fun, and with the support of the community partnership with IncludeAbility, the race will return with an adaptive course option and scholarships for athletes with physical and/or intellectual challenges.

All participants will receive a medal, T-shirt and refreshments at the “Finish Fair” after the race, and this year, proceeds from the race benefit the Treasure Valley YMCA's THRIVE program for neurodivergent children.

Registration is available online or in person at packet pick-up on Thursday, May 30th, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Big Al's in Meridian (1900 N. Eagle Road). Race day registration is not available. Visit www.ymcatvidaho.org for more information and registration.
