High Throughput Clinic in Meridian Administered Nearly 50,000 Vaccines
Saint Alphonsus Health System continues to offer COVID-19 vaccinations at select Medical Group Family Medicine clinics but will be closing its high throughput clinic located at The Village at Meridian on Saturday. Since its opening in February, nearly 50,000 vaccines have been administered at the Meridian clinic.
“As the number of people coming to the Meridian high throughput clinic declines, we’ve made the decision that the best way to meet the need of local residents is to shift our vaccine efforts to our physician clinics,” said Dr. Steven Nemerson, Chief Clinical Officer at Saint Alphonsus. “Patients 12 and older can go to one of the convenient clinic locations in the Treasure Valley to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Given the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Idaho and across the country, as well as spread of the mutant Delta variant, I strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated.”

Idaho law requires minor patients have a parent’s or guardian’s signed consent to receive the vaccine. Consent forms in both Spanish and English are available online.
Vaccines are administered free of charge. Patients are asked to bring a current driver’s license or legal ID and a medical insurance card. Patients without insurance will still be able to receive the vaccine.
Vaccines will be available at the former Gordmans store in Meridian through 2:00 pm this Saturday, July 24. Both initial doses and boosters will be available. Patients who have received their initial dose at Gordmans will be scheduled for their second vaccination at another Saint Alphonsus clinic location.
