Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center has earned its S.T.A.R Program® Certification (Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation) from the Massachusetts-based Oncology Rehab Partners, leading experts in the field of survivorship care.
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is leading the way by becoming the first to offer advanced and comprehensive cancer rehabilitation services to its patients through the implementation and delivery of the certified Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation Program. Whether patients are at the beginning of treatment or even experiencing the late effects from treatment completed long ago, this certified program uniquely qualifies Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services and Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Centers to provide premium oncology rehabilitation to patients who suffer from side effects, caused by treatments.
To receive its certification, Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) and Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Centers executed Oncology Rehab Partner’s unparalleled S.T.A.R. Program Certification, a conventional medicine and evidence-based standardized model of cancer rehabilitation service delivery, successfully implementing the program’s evaluation and treatment protocols and rehabilitation training. These services are covered by health insurance providers and will be offered to patients by a knowledgeable and sensitive medical/clinical staff that is specially trained to work with survivors of all forms of cancer.
Specialty multidisciplinary caregivers, including physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dieticians, mental health professionals and social workers, will work together with each patient on a personalized rehabilitation plan to increase strength and energy, reduce pain, and improve daily function and quality of life.
The advanced training obtained by Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) and the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Centers uniquely qualifies us to provide the highest level of cancer rehabilitation in the region.
Cancer Care Rehabilitation is offered at all of the Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services locations throughout the Treasure Valley, where we can quickly and effectively implement an exceptional survivorship care plan for patients, allowing them to regain their health and get their lives back on track.
