Saint Alphonsus Health System Announces New Communications and Public Relations Director

Boise, Idaho – Saint Alphonsus Health System today announced the hiring of Brad Hoaglun as Director of Communications and Public Relations. Hoaglun will begin the new position October 14.

In addition, he shares a deep commitment to our Saint Alphonsus mission as a healing ministry. In this role, Hoaglun will be responsible for the health system’s corporate, internal, external and digital communications functions. He will direct system-wide communication strategy and lead a broad range of public relations activities that extend Saint Alphonsus’ brand and image to the broader community. He will also be responsible for publications, E-news and other online communication and media relations.
Prior to joining Saint Alphonsus, Hoaglun served as Director of Communications for U.S. Senator James E. Risch, a position he also held when Risch was Idaho’s governor in 2006. Prior to working for Senator Risch he was the Chief of Staff for State Controller Donna Jones. Hoaglun also served as the Idaho Director of Government Relations for the American Cancer Society. In addition, he currently serves as City Councilman for the City of Meridian, a term that expires in December.
Hoaglun graduated from the College of Idaho with a degree in Political Science. He resides in Meridian with his wife, Chandos.
