Boise, ID – Hundreds of regular participants and first time runners and walkers will celebrate a significant milestone for the popular Meet Me Monday initiative. Saint Alphonsus Health System kicked off the community health program June 11, 2012. Monday’s event is the 20th week of Meet Me Monday. Boise Mayor Dave Bieter will attend the event.

When: Monday October 22nd 5:15 PM Registration, 5:45 Walkers start, 6:00 PM Runners start

Where: Pioneer “Old Boise” Building at the corner of 6th and Main St Boise

Why: To improve the health of our communities, and cultivate camaraderie by bringing friends and families together while enjoying the beauty of the city.

Meet Me Monday is a grassroots weekly event that encourages people to get and stay healthy. Walkers, strollers, runners, and even those who wish to meander, meet each Monday evening – in the parking lot of the Pioneer Building at the northeast corner of 6th and Main. For participants the process is simple and fun; register at 5:15 PM in person and begin their walk or run at 5:45 PM. One, two and 3.75 mile courses are available. The routes can be viewed at www.meetmemonday.org. Rules require participants to obey all traffic laws and signals. No streets will be blocked.
