Boise, idaho – It’s time again for Christmas tree lovers, holiday art collectors and families who love to have yearly photos taken with Santa to mark their calendars. The Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees celebrates its 29th year as the premier holiday tradition in the Treasure Valley. This year's event begins November 20th with the Festival of Trees black tie Gala Celebration. The public is invited to attend this joyful celebration starting Wednesday November 21 and continuing through Sunday, November 26.
Each year during Thanksgiving week, Boise Centre becomes home to a wonderland of holiday splendor featuring hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, traditional and unique wreaths, and holiday decor. Enhancing this remarkable display is a series of special events designed to please people of all ages. From the black-tie Gala to Breakfast with Santa, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Entertainment is provided by local dance groups, choirs and musicians throughout the week.
The week-long event is a cherished tradition among local families who eagerly await and attend the Festival each November. The Festival of Trees has been a favorite holiday tradition for residents of the Treasure Valley for almost 30 years and has raised more than $7 million to improve healthcare in our community. Funds raised from this year’s event will support the expansion of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and help us continue providing the highest caliber of care as the region's only Level II Trauma Center.
