Mary McFadden Named Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center

Mary T. McFadden, DNP, RN, NEA-BC has been named Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. She comes to the Treasure Valley from Oregon, where she served for six years as Chief Nursing Executive for Providence Portland Medical Center. She has also held multiple Chief Nursing Officer leadership roles within the Kaiser Permanente Northern California region.
At Saint Alphonsus, she will be responsible for the clinical and administrative leadership, planning, monitoring and evaluating of safe, high-quality patient care.
“Mary brings a strong background in nursing operations, Magnet designation programs, service line growth, quality and patient safety to SARMC,” said David McFadyen, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center President. “I look forward to partnering with me and our hospital’s leadership team to ensure clinical excellence for our patients and community.”
McFadden holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University-Phoenix, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from California State University-Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University-Fresno. She is an alumnus of the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship Program and a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives (NWONE).
She is licensed by the Idaho, Oregon, Arizona and California Boards of Registered Nursing. McFadden assumes her position on November 16.
