Saint Alphonsus Associates, physicians and friends walk for heart health in


American Heart Association Heart Walk


More than One Million people in 300 US Cities take part each year



Boise, Idaho – Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke are the number one killers of Idahoans. Knowledge of how to reduce the risk factors and how to prevent these diseases can save lives. In an effort to raise awareness for heart health, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is proud to be a part of the American Heart Association 2013 Heart Walk. The event takes place at Julia Davis Park Saturday, May 18, 2013. Temperatures are expected to be mild in the upper 60s.



The Saint Alphonsus Heart Walk Team and others who participate will help fund important research, education and advocacy efforts in Idaho. Survivors of heart disease and stroke are given red ball caps to wear during the heart walk to signify their triumph over heart disease or stroke.



What: 2013 Saint Alphonsus Heart Walk Team – 5K with 1 mile option


When: Saturday, May 18, 2013 9:00 AM check-in; Walk begins at 10:00 AM
