Festival of TreesAs Idaho ranks the lowest in the nation for breast cancer screening rates, 2011 Festival proceeds will benefit the Women’s Wellness Mobile Clinic – providing mammography, breast exams, and other vital health screening services to women throughout the region

Boise, ID – Festival of Trees celebrates its 28th year as the premier holiday tradition in the Treasure Valley. This year's event begins November 22nd with the Festival of Trees Black Tie Gala Celebration. The public is invited to attend this joyful celebration starting Wednesday, November 23rd, and continuing through Sunday, November 27th.

Every year, the Festival of Trees transforms the Boise Centre into a winter wonderland, adorned by hundreds of elaborately-decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and other holiday décor. Traditionally, a select few ornate trees decorated with vibrant and varied themes are auctioned off and many are donated to local charities.

Proceeds from this year's Festival of Trees will benefit the Saint Alphonsus Women's Wellness Mobile Clinic. The mobile unit will provide essential mammography, breast exams, and other health screening services for women living in remote areas throughout our region.

The week-long event is a cherished tradition among local families who eagerly await and attend the Festival each November. Ongoing entertainment is provided by local dance groups, choirs and musicians throughout the week. Events include:

  • Breakfasts with Santa, Friday November 25th – Sunday November 27th where Santa Claus and his elves entertain visiting children and parents alike. Each child receives a special gift to take home.
  • Fashion Show and Luncheon scheduled for Monday November 28th .The fashion show gives local boutiques the opportunity to display the latest trends and support the Festival cause.

The Festival of Trees supports and promotes the established Saint Alphonsus guiding principle of providing superior quality healthcare for all those in need.
