Beneficiary Funds for 2020

Saint Alphonsus has identified the greatest needs in the communities we serve.  Here is a list and description of those projects chosen as the 2020 Colleague Giving Campaign beneficiaries:

SAHS Workforce Resiliency Fund - This fund will provide resources for colleagues to combat fatigue, stress and fear that occurs through the work we do every day.  Our goal is to build on the support system already in place for colleagues and promote resiliency, well-being and relieve stress in the hospital/clinic setting.

Food Pantry - This fund will allow patients and their families access to free food to ensure no one goes without.

Greatest Need Fund - Trauma Outreach Program - As the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Saint Alphonsus believes it is our mission to provide the most up-to-date education to the community, first responders and the medical community to ensure every patient has the best possible outcome when experiencing a medical emergency.

Greatest Need Fund - Cancer Care Fund - This fund supports the highest and most urgent needs for our hospital, patients, physicians, nurses, colleagues and our community.  In past years, your gifts to this fund helped build our new hosptial, support our new Cancer Institute, purchased equipment to help train nurses, and helped NICU babies get well among many other important needs.

Mobile Health Clinic Fund - This fund supports our Saint Alphonsus Mobile Health Clinic, a community outreach initiative that takes medical care out of the hospital setting and provides it to those needing it the most where they work and live, thus reducing the transportation barriers to accessing care.  Since inception, the Clinic has served more than 7,000 patients by providing preventative health care and screenings

Baker City

Colleague Crisis hands

Colleague Crisis Fund - This fund will assist Baker City colleagues with emergency financial assistance. We recognize that employees may encounter financial hardships and Saint Alphonsus is dedicated in supporting you through these difficult times.  Employees may apply for emergency assistance up to $500.  This program is managed through the Baker City Foundation and more information on the application and funding process can be found by contacting Laura Huggins at 541-524-7732.

Cancer Care Fund - This fund will help advance care at the Ontario Cancer Care Center.

Greatest Need Fund - This fund currently serves as funding for our activity carts that are new to the floors this year!  Included are toys, games, coloring books and more.
