Wealth and Wellness
June 30, 2022How does effectively managing your money lead to better health?
Achieving financial well-being allows you to meet financial obligations, feel secure in your financial future, and make choices so you can enjoy life. By understanding spending habits and limiting optional expenses, you can keep your cash flow in check and build your savings. Check out some easy ways you can trim needless spending!
1. Make a grocery list before shopping. This will limit any unnecessary purchases by going in with a plan. Pro tip: have a snack before you shop, that way hunger doesn’t get the best of your purchases!
2. Direct extra money that comes from items like bonuses or tax returns to a separate account besides checking. Use this money for something other than your daily expenses.
3. No impulse buys. Take time to think about purchases before making them.
4. Cleaning allows us to organize and declutter. You may own things you no longer have use for, but someone else might! Sell unwanted items via yard sale, consignment shops, or online.
5. Are you not using that streaming service? Cancel it and any other unwanted subscriptions.
6. Try at-home DIY (do-it-yourself) projects. Repurpose items you already have at home versus buying new items.
Did you know? 73% of Americans rank their finances as their top stressor in life according to a Capital One CreditWise survey. This can result in major strain and is one of the leading causes of stress in relationships.
