The State Summer Games were on June 7th and 8th
Saint Alphonsus was proud to support this event and offered first-aid booths to the athletes and spectators. On June 7th, the doors opened at 4pm. People explored over 45 vendors including food trucks and live music. The presentation began at 6pm. On June 8th, there was action packed competition. About the Special Olympics
Special Olympics Idaho was founded in June of 1971. Their mission is to provide sports and training for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. They currently offer 15 sports throughout winter, summer, and fall. Idaho has the potential to serve over 50,000 athletes. They need your help to reach every potential athlete in Idaho.

To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
