Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is pleased to be the first hospital in Idaho and eastern Oregon to offer Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Joint Replacement, an innovative robotic surgery procedure for patients experiencing osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.
Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Joint Replacement is a technologically advanced procedure for those with either noninflammatory or inflammatory degenerative joint disease of the knee or hip, as well as those with painful early- to mid-stage osteoarthritis. Surgery is performed with the surgeon-controlled robotic arm system. Using this state-of-the-art system, surgeons attain a new level of surgical precision, which results in optimal outcomes for our orthopedic patients.
Makoplasty can be used for the following surgeries:
