I told him I had a wound on my [body part], I recently received physical therapy for my [body part], I exercise 50 minute 3 to 5 times a week. I stopped the stress test at the time the RN administering the test said there was enough data to tell how my heart was doing. I know I am out of shape and over weight. I am working on it. Encouragement, acknowledgement of the hard journey most of us face. Or pure science this is your heart health report card etc would have been helpful.

Sonia accused me of stopping meds without an order. She minimized my concerns about having an accurate med list. Would you like to have anticoagulants on your med list that haven’t been prescribed since 2018? Nursing staff treats me like a druggie.
I guess I must be old school, because I want to see a MD or DO. We are talking about my heart and I want to see a person that has the credentials and education to take care of me. And Dr Coleman did not disappoint me. He was fantastic.

I made an appointment in September a waited until November to get an appointment. I needed a Holter Monitor and was able to get that and labs the same day. The staff were very good. Thankful for prompt service.
So far so good. Preliminary appointment went well. Next are two tests to determine health of my heart.

This was a cardiologist as I had symptoms that aligned with a potential heart attack. He first of all refused to make eye contact with me during the appointment. He asked questions and was annoyed when I didn't answer immediately or wasn't sure of something. He told me based on an app (yes! an app!) that my chances of having a heart attack were very low. I'm so relieved that we're now relying on apps to determine people's health (that's sarcasm). Then for my fast pulse, which he heard and knew about there in his office he was like "you need to wear a monitor for 2 weeks and it could be your thyroid." huh? Your thyroid secretes hormones (thanks to basic High School Biology) and has NOTHING to do with your heart! And wear some monitor for 2 weeks? He heard my fast pulse so there was nothing new this would tell him. He was also like "you must wear it 24/7" I told him that wasn't possible for me as I have stuff to do during the summer like wear a swimsuit almost daily and go swimming. So in conclusion, I have very specific instructions for my husband: when I actually do have a heart attack (because obviously my symptoms were not taken seriously and I certainly don't trust an aap) to take me to the other hospital. They might actually take me seriously .

Dr. Coleman was very easy to talk with and took the time to explain any questions I had. Since this was my first appointment with Dr. Coleman I was impressed with the way he questioned my past experience with my cardiologist in [city]. I had the results of a nuclear stress test and echocardiogram that was performed in [city] and Dr. Coleman actually explained the findings more clearly than my former cardiologist.
*Dr. Coleman answered my questions with complete explanation. Set up future tests which were needed. Made me feel very comfortable about my heart/health -
