About
Philosophy of Care
I knew I wanted to be a doctor from a very young age and I'm still as excited about neurosurgery now as I was more than 20 years ago when I was introduced to it. A physician I know once said, `If you take care of the patient everything else will take care of itself,' and that has always been my philosophy. My patients can expect a very personal care as if they were my family. I don't feel for my patients, I feel with them. We are partners through the difficult times, setting goals and working together to achieve them. My reward in neurosurgery is being on the journey with my patient, getting to know them as a person and watching them walk out the door happy and better.
