About

Philosophy of Care

During the first ten years of my career as a physician, I was involved in very active OB/GYN practices and I truly enjoyed providing women's health care across all age groups, especially during the exciting months of pregnancy, and delivering babies for expectant parents. I felt drawn to expand my knowledge base so I would be able to assist and support families, as well as their Obstetrician, when their anticipation for a normal pregnancy has been altered by either fetal or maternal illness. I left my OB/GYN practice to pursue a fellowship (three years of specialized training) in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and during these past fifteen years, I feel I am truly able to be of service to the patients who need a plan for the best possible outcome regardless of medical issues involved. My philosophy as a care provider is to work closely with each patient and each family, as well as the medical professionals needed, in order to maximize the positive outcome of pregnancy in a sensitive, compassionate manner. By listening to patients, talking with patients, and involving them in their plan of care, I am very fortunate to be able to assist when I am most needed-to help patients and families through what may be very stressful and difficult life events.
