Philosophy of Care

I was born and raised in Utah and I am so excited to be in Idaho and back in the mountains. My father and brother are surgeons so I always thought tha tI would be a surgeon but as I studied medicine I was drawn to heart care. There is something incredibly interesting about cardiology, the patient relationships are long-term and they rely on you to help them. I feel very honored that I can make a difference in their lives. To me that is really special.

Dr. Rich was conscientious of my needs. Though it is customary, not all doctors ask if they can move a piece of clothing like Dr. Rich did when checking my heartbeat with the stethoscope. As someone with a history of sexual trauma, that inquiry was the difference between my day being amazing and being a difficult day of dissociation and flashbacks. His consideration makes a difference!

I Think That he is learning to be a thorasic surgen like Dr. Farivar.. When He came in to see me he had scrubs on. I think he wants to do more than prescribe drugs. I think he would rather fix the problem than cover it up with drugs. I think he will be a good surgeon under Dr. Farivar's training.
