Since this was my second replacement it was assumed that I remembered the follow-up. The dialogue between my PA seemed strained when I asked questions before surgery. Time in the hospital required special persuasion. Since the pain medication I was given wasn’t effective, it’s a good thing I was in the hospital for observation. My Physical Therapist contacted my doctor to get the medication I knew worked. I recommend closer follow up by the staff to review info on the paperwork sent home.
