This rating is for the doctor, not the intake nurse/NP who handled the start of my setting. The doctor is always pleasant but obviously is rushed. Also didn't appreciate the immediate offer of medication to solve issues, and still was not happy that my being in perimenopause was not explored as part of my wellness

Let Nuer wait than usual for this appointment, but it only means Dr. Southard devoted the time needed to previous pts. She apologized to me, and spent an inordinate amount of time answering g my questions about several clinical issues without rushing me, even though it was end of day Friday and she was heading out of town. She is clinically very knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills. She understands Medicare billing which is greatly appreciated. She is an asset to St Al’s and the Trinity Health system.

I felt once I declined multiple things my doctor had discussed she had ZERO regards for me & abruptly ended our visit. She also suggested weight loss surgery after I told her I didn't want any unnecessary surgeries!!!
It was very good. I was informed about some things I had questions about. The only thing that I was not happy about was the lack of transportation available to patients, like myself, who are not currently able to drive. However, this has nothing to do with my doctor.
This visit was very good. Referrals to other services seem to only be available in months ex.: referral available in June when I saw *Dr. Southard in March.

The provider's office had just transitioned to a new EHR and it was causing delays in appointment times. This was explained multiple times by different staff to ensure everyone was aware of the changes happening.

Dr. Southard quickly and correctly diagnosed and treated my 3 month bout with outer hip pain that made it difficult for me to walk, sit and sleep. Ten days out I feel 90% better and am able to feel more positive about day to day life due to the treatment and follow-up exercises she gave me.

I am a nurse and retired healthcare administrator, and researched PCPs as we relocated to the Boise area. Dr. Southard is outstanding: she is knowledgable clinically and has excellent communication skills. My visit (and the initial one several months prior) was uncrushed and thorough. She gets to know her patient (she had in my record that I live with my husband and our dog [name].unheard of to add a pet. Such a small and seemingly insignificant detail like that can be very meaningful in establishing a therapeutic relationship ). She interacts as a partner in my healthcare, and follows up via phone when needed. Donita (sp?), the medical assistant, was also outstanding. Efficient, courteous, a little funny (appropriately so as we were going through the long list of Welcome to Medicare questions), really delightful. Front desk receptionists are excellent.

Hire help for the phlebotomist! The doctor ordered a blood draw (very important for my conditions, but the earliest available appointment for a simple blood draw was for a month later.
Provider/physician was thorough, took time to answer Q's and explain options. Also explained what would happen before conducting exam. While I waited way too long, left appt. w/what I needed/wanted and felt provider/physician was easy to talk to and didn't make me feel rushed.
Usually very satisfied, but not as satisfied w/this visit. There was something that was not discussed at all during the visit, yet it was put on my patient plan & medical record is being discussed. Didn't find this out until I received my patient plan in the mail.
