Philosophy of Care

Breast cancer patients are an amazing group of women who are unique, independent, and tenacious in their effort to overcome their cancer. This fighting spirit is something I have come to admire and value daily in my work. A large part of the reason that I was attracted to the field of surgery is that surgery provides me with the ability to offer the patients I care for both compassion and a practical solution. Breast cancer care engages with these core principles that attracted me to surgery. I am able to develop unique personal relationships with my patients, learn what is important to them in their care and then build a treatment plan that will provide them the best treatment available while taking into consideration the values that are important to them.
