I have the best team i could possibly have. From front door, to every single person I encounter there is only a caring attitude towards me. I always know I’m im more than a name. My Dr Angelina Devitt and her team are so awesome and they care about the whole person. Answer my questions about my worries. At 77 I have lots of questions and my team is always there. My experience is the best if I could give them some big party I would a Gold Medal. The Best Provider in my life.

A nurse in the office called me (I was post surgery and can’t remember her name). She spent a half hour/45 minutes talking through my complications. She figured out a solution and was so kind about it!
I have never had a PCP before so there was a lot to sift through. She handled my health info "dump" expertly, respectfully and patiently. We were able to address a few immediate issues as well.
Dr. Devitt has been my primary care physician for many years - she is extremely knowledgeable, caring and very detailed in treatment. It is a long drive to get to her, but worth it.

Dr. DeVitt is a good doctor and a caring patient. However, the front desk staff could use some instructions on how patients should be treated.

It feels like the doctor is rushing to get to the next patient because of the time constraints. The health care system is already loosing to many health care providers and i feel the time constraints are putting too much pressure on them and burnout will happen faster

The front desk staff, nurse and doctor were all great.
Dr Devitt went out of her way with a full schedule to schedule my daughter for this visit. My daughter expressed some concerns about her health and she agreed that she should share her medical concerns with her PCP when she was back in town during her break. I was very thankful that the staff at Bown Crossing Medical helped me out by sharing that with Dr. Devitt and squeezed my daughter at end of day for the visit. It helped ease my daughter's concerns and mine after she helped evaluate her and provided her some suggestions. I work in the healthcare field and although I can provide similar advice to my daughter, I know it is much better if she can hear it from an outside medical source. We are grateful that Dr. Devitt is a great resource for a teenage girl.

I still don't know what the likelihood of my having a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder is, even after exam, X-rays, and written/verbal history. Is getting an MRI the only way to determine this? I'm stressing about the possible need for surgery (which I would rather not have unless absolutely necessary). So my fears are not alleviated by having had this appointment, as I'd hoped they might be. This may not be the practitioner's fault, but that is what I was hoping for nonetheless.

Dr. Devitt has a lot of patients. I had to wait 2 wks to be seen. That is much too long. She should not be accepting new patients, or whatever is keeping her from being able to see existing patients in a timely manner. In addition, my insurance card had changed. Prior to my appt., I uploaded the new card and id numbers. When I arrived at my appt, the front office staff struggled to get my insurance info. corrected. When I did the same process at St. Luke's, it took 2 min. Both St. Luke's and St. Al's use My Chart. There should be no problem entering the same information.
I was forced by my insurer to switch from St. Luke's to St. Al's. Communicating with staff via telephone and MyChart at St. Al's has been a nightmare. I can only compare it to my experience at St. Luke's which was always excellent

Seems like the answer Dr. Devitt often has is 'there is a pill for that'. When I look at the medications I am taking, I'm concerned that there are duplications. I will talk to her more about this on the next visit. I thought the nurse that took my vitals was terrific. At previous appointments, not this last one but others, I don't thin Devitt followed up on some things. She didn't ask, how is that Medication working for you? Any side effects? Did that exercise help? Can I help you with diet and exercise programs?
