About

I have worked here at Saint Alphonsus since 2010 in some capacity. I graduated from University of North Dakota for PA school. I graduated from Boise State University with a radiologic sciences degree and worked here in Nuclear Medicine and the Cardiac Cath lab previously. I have been working in general cardiology for six years. Three years ago, I was given the opportunity to start a Lifestyle/Prevention program. I became certified in lifestyle medicine and currently see those patients 1-2 days a week.

While I would recommend this provider personally to anyone, I am concerned that she is already overbooked. It was difficult to get in to see her on a timely basis and the poor or even less than respectful communication with the schedulers reflected that.

All your staff is overworked; I felt a little rushed. I could deal with it, but the problem is some symptoms go unreported when the patient feels pressured. Also, it's difficult to remember everything when stressed even more than the normal concern of seeing a medical provider in the first place

Our discussion regarding sodium made me take a close look at the amounts of sodium I was actually eating. I' usually follow a low carb diet but after this appointment , I realized low carb is not what on should be on. I am now watching my sodium intake and plan to go on the Dash diet, both for weight loss and to help stabilize my blood pressure. I bought several Dash diet books to educate myself further.

My only complaint was the gal that checked me in. I was 5 minutes early for appt, and waited 35 minutes before asking front desk girl why am I waiting so long when they were adamant I get there promptly.
