She seemed rushed, in a hurry. There is part of me that doesn't quite think she gets me and where I'm coming from. Everyone is an individual and can't just put people in the same box. My insurance won't pay for the weight loss medicine and there are cheaper alternatives that she is unable to provide or offer me another medical professional who could.

Amber Hackenberg is extremely, caring, knowledgeable, and listens attentively to my concerns. I've never felt rushed at any time when I've seen her over the 6 1/2 years that she's been my primary care giver.
The only thing is I wish Amber were available on more than a couple days a week but it's usually not an urgent matter, so I can live with her schedule and am glad that she makes her role as a mom a top priority

Excellent listener
I am genuinely concerned about a chronic back pain issue. Over 9 months I've visited 3 primary care providers, worked with two PT professionals, done all the exercises advised, had xrays (lower and upper spine and neck), taken otc and prescribed pain medication, recently had a stress test to determine if there might be a heart-related issues. I am aware that lower back pain is one of the most common complaints and is often difficult to diagnose the cause, but I'm frustrated that the pain is worse and I've yet to eliminate some of the possible worst-case causes. Amber has referred me to a Pain Specialist and put in a request for a MRI, both steps that I approve.

I really like her a lot. She is a take charge person and, after having had a TIA a few weeks before, she knew just what tests I needed and how to get them. My only problem is the limited amount of time they have w/patients as there are so few medical people in this area and they are pressed for time.
Amber and her MA, Autumn, are a great team! Kind, calming and sensitive to their patient's needs. Amber takes her time and you feel like you are the only patient she has that day. I won't see anyone else for my health care!

I just changed primary care doctors - I was seeing *Dr. Mark Holbrook at St. Luke's and started seeing *Dr. Amber Hackenberg. I've only seen her once, but I am glad I switched to her!

She doesn't just prescribe meds - she gives very smart and thoughtful suggestions and explanations to take small steps that add up to better health. Really like her approach. Spends plenty of time and makes sure I know she is available if any questions arise.
I felt they are understaffed. I am first rated calling the office and hold for so long. I like the staff and they are trying their best. *Amber is only there 2 days a week. I had to see another physician for a back injury. I saw her for my wellness follow up check 3 weeks later. She is very thorough I have problems with getting meds. sent to *Fred Myer.

Usually very happy with visits and care I received at the office, however on this visit no *Ms. Hackenberg was a little short with me. She had shared some disconcerting info about my blood work. We were talking through solutions or ideas for treatment & diet when she cut me off abruptly. When I stated I wanted to just talk through things after difficult news her attitude became short. Visit ended nicely but still left feeling uncomfortable with the exchange. I will continue to see her, however may not be as open, which is unfortunate.
Disappointed in *Joel Swanson. Didn't seem to respect advice we had received from other doctors and didn't seem to know our medical history. Would not continue to use him.

A useful annual exam, my provider is attuned to my state of health as well as preventative measures I can add to my daily life.

The only concern is that there was no lab order for Lipid panel, which is my main health issue that should be monitored, so I needed to return for another fasting lab draw. It's not a huge problem - just inconvenient & shouldn't have been missed.

I am absolutely blessed that Amber is my PA. Here is an example of her focus on patients needsmy appointment was early afternoon and I had not eaten all day in anticipation of needing blood work. Amber informed me that the lab closed at 3:15 and she would make sure I got the the lab In time for blood work. True to her word she completed my wellness check, answered all my questions, talked about if I needed to continue with medication going forward and she still had me at the lab 15 minutes before it closed! 5 gold stars for Amber Hackenberg!!!!
