CARE Maternal Health Clinic
Saint Alphonsus CARE Clinic offers group prenatal care to families who have arrived into the United States through the refugee resettlement program. Patients who choose this model for prenatal care meet every other week in a group setting facilitated by a nurse and social worker, while also seeing their midwife individually.
The clinic's holistic approach to care attempts to meet the patient's and their families' physical, psychological, and social needs in a trauma informed, culturally adapted, and linguistically appropriate manner. The clinic utilizes midwives, family physicians, nursing staff, social workers, interpreters, health advisors, and patient service representatives to implement their integrative model of care.
