About

Dr. Dan Prior completed his Minimally Invasive Bariatric fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and his general surgery residency at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Prior strives to provide the latest innovations in surgery and offers world-class, state-of-the-art surgical techniques in the areas of robotic, bariatric, and general surgery.

My number one goal is to improve my patient's quality of life. I believe that this is a highly individualized process that requires in-depth conversations to find the best solution for every patient. Together, we'll discuss the pros and cons of surgery and decide if it's right for you. My priority is creating a comfortable, knowledgeable, and safe experience for you.

Absolutely the best. The entire bariatric program and care team under Dr Prior is focused on bettering the condition of our health. From initial exams where we were treated like human with our various needs and conditions, through the entire program of learning a new way of life, through the ongoing after care process including supporting our bariatrics group forum online and through monthly virtual meetings. We are just amazed at the concern and energy they put into guiding us through this transition.
