About
Thomas Goodwin, MD started his career at Saint Alphonsus and is now back home serving patients in the Treasure Valley at the Saint Alphonsus Meridian Health Plaza off of 10mile road. As a veteran and graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and as the founder of the Shoulder Clinic of Idaho in 2002, Dr. Goodwin is known as Idaho's first shoulder surgeon. He has performed over 15,000 shoulder surgeries since 1987 in the Treasure Valley. Dr. Goodwin believes in patient-focused care and feels "knowing the patient" is as important as "knowing the shoulder". Dr. Goodwin is a board-certified shoulder specialist who has received the Robert Miller Memorial Award for Emergency Room Consultant in 1991. Dr. Goodwin embodies the principle of being a good doctor, not just a good surgeon and with a philosophy of treating his patients as he would want for his own family.
