Dr. Johnson cares about his patients and takes the time to listen to concerns from the patient. He’s careful to explain what isn’t understood and questions about what is of importance to his patients. He sees both myself and my husband and we always recommend him to family and friends needing cardiac care.

I had my 1st mitral valve replaced at St Als. 2nd went to St Lukes and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
It's an important aspect to feel understood and to be able to understand the doctor. Dr. Johnson is direct, in a gentle way and he explains things simply.

My feedback has to do with Dr. Alex Johnson only. It has nothing to do with Trinity Health or St. Alphonsus Hospital. It is always a pleasure to visit with Dr. Johnson. He takes the time needed to answer all my concerns and explains things in a way that I can understand. I never feel rushed by him or made to feel like my concerns are not important. He has always been courteous and thorough in his examination. I feel very confident in his professional opinion. I am very lucky to have him for my cardiologist.

My last heart Dr. at St. Al's was dismissive and inaccurate in putting my information my chart. I was ready to go to St. Luke's and decided to give St. Al's one more try with Dr. Johnson.
Having to go to Boise to see him again after waiting 5 months to see him for the first time is a bit much. Baker needs to supply these great doctors with the tools in Baker they need.

I spoke with Dale today and had to get off the phone pront as I was at the airport. She wrote a note that I was "busy" and it sounded like I blew her off which I didn't and my phone call wasn't returned today perhaps of that misunderstanding. I realize this is a tremendously busy office but it does take a bit of calls to iron everything out. When it DOES happen everybody is kind and helpful. Much appreciated.
He initially did a cursory exam and was not more thorough until I asked him to check conditions he had overlooked

He spent an hour discussing my health. It had been sometime since I had seen DrJohnson. My visits had been with other doctors. I was very happy to see DrJohnson as my visits with him were very serious and he never rushed through the time required.

The one thing I dislike about St. Als. Medical Group there is no way you can see a doctor is go to the ER. If you think you are having a problem, there is no doctor you have to wait until your appointment, need to have other doctors we can see.

He doesn't seem to know me. I had experimental surgery by technicians & visiting dr. from CA & my dr. left to catch a plane during the surgery. No follow information given to me. Left in hallway overnight with no dr. care.

Upon conclusion of the heart cath - *Dr. Johnson had not examined my right carotid artery as he said he would. While in the room both before & after my heart skipped beats. No advice was given to treat the condition was given me.
