Philosophy of Care

I use a family-centered approach to maximize the well being of my patients. This is accomplished through collaboration with the family to develop the best plan of care for their children. I promise to maintain good communication with the family and provide care in a compassionate and professional manner. I will serve as an advocate for patients who are not able to advocate for themselves.

Dr. Bishop is very caring. He has a great demeanor with children and is able to get the exam completed while interacting with my child. You can tell he loves his job and is very knowledgeable.

At every visit Dr. Bishop directs his attention to my daughter asking her age appropriate questions regarding why she is being seen with follow up age appropriate assessment questions. I love this about him as a physician. This approach engages her, anytime she is not able to answer or unsure he will then direct his question to 'mom.'

There was some mild concern shown when our baby measured no growth since last visit and it was assumed there was an error in the method of measurement, but no one remeasured him.
