About

Philosophy of Care
"At the age of ten, I decided to become a physician. I feel so blessed that I was able to attend an excellent Medical School and Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. I have practiced Ob/Gyn for over 20 years since graduating from the University of Wisconsin residency program. I enjoy all aspects of my profession including prenatal care, deliveries, office gynecology, and gynecologic surgery. Practicing medicine is incredibly rewarding and can be very challenging. I really love getting to know my patients and working closely with them to improve their physical and emotional health. Since my medical school graduation at the University of Minnesota 25 years ago, Ob/Gyn has changed significantly. We now have many more safe, minimally invasive devices and surgeries to solve many common gynecological problems. I have worked hard to keep up with the latest medications and technologies. I am proud to practice medicine at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, the top ranked hospital in Idaho, and in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide. Quality and safety are particularly emphasized. The Labor and Delivery unit gives personalized care to laboring women. There are 24 hour in-house "laborist" Ob/Gyn physicians always available, as well as a NICU and perinatology services. Cutting edge technology is used to keep staff up to date. I have worked at St. Alphonsus for over nine years, and I truly would not want to work anywhere else."
