More than half of patients admitted to the Saint Alphonsus Trauma Unit have musculoskeletal injuries; fractures, dislocations, and/or nerve, tendon, and soft tissue injuries. Our Orthopedic Surgeons works closely with highly trained healthcare professionals in our trauma center (a system of care within an acute care hospital, such as Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center), which provides an organized systematic response to treat adults or children who are critically injured.
