Saint Alphonsus Boise - CARE Clinic

Saint Alphonsus CARE Clinic offers group prenatal and infant care to families who have arrived in the United States through the refugee resettlement program. Patients who choose this model for prenatal care meet every other week in a group setting facilitated by a nurse and social worker, while also seeing their midwife individually. Well-child checks are also offered in a similar manner for infants up to 12 months old.

The clinic's holistic approach to care attempts to meet the patient's and their families' physical, psychological, and social needs in a trauma-informed, culturally adapted, and linguistically appropriate manner. The clinic utilizes midwives, family physicians, nursing staff, social workers, interpreters, health advisors, and patient service representatives to implement their integrative model of care.
