Telestroke Program

telestroke, benefits of telestroke, what is telestroke

A stroke can happen anywhere at any time. While a stroke can be severe, recognizing the signs and getting treatment quickly can greatly improve outcomes.

But what happens if you're nowhere near the region's most advanced Level I Stroke Center?

The Saint Alphonsus Telestroke Network connects our team of neurologists to rural partner hospitals throughout the region. Through telehealth, a Saint Alphonsus Neurologist will work with the bedside clinical team to remotely evaluate, diagnose, and rapidly identify patients eligible for acute stroke therapies that can be administered immediately, and identify patients who may benefit from the specialized interventions available at Saint Alphonsus.

The goal of the program is to support prompt, local treatment, and reduce risk of further damage due to stroke.

If you are a provider or program administrator interested in partnering with Saint Alphonsus for Telestroke, please contact us at telehealth@saintalphonsus.org.
