Unit Receives Honor for Outstanding Performance
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities [CARF] awards
Saint Alphonsus in Boise with 3-year accreditation in multiple specialties
Boise, ID – The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF) announced that Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center has been awarded a three-year accreditation for five of its programs: Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation for Adults; Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation for Adolescents and Children; Stroke Specialty for Adults, Brain Injury Specialty for Adults, and Brain Injury Specialty for Adolescents and Children.
The award represents the highest level of accreditation for inpatient rehabilitation units, and shows the organization’s substantial commitment to CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process, and has demonstrated its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
Daniel Mata, Inpatient Rehabilitation Director at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, stated that "Saint Alphonsus is proud of this honor, as we're always striving to provide the highest-quality care available. This is a reaffirmation of the hard work done every day by our physicians, nurses, therapists, support staff, and leadership."
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
