Saint Alphonsus offers advance directive


guidance on National Healthcare Decisions Day

WHAT: National Healthcare Decisions Day is devoted to ensuring that all adults with decision-making capacity have the information and opportunity to communicate and document their healthcare decisions. Saint Alphonsus will host an event to provide much-needed information to the public regarding advance directives and advance care planning. The informational sessions aim to reduce the number of tragedies that occur when a person’s wishes are unknown, and improve the ability of healthcare facilities and providers to offer informed and thoughtful guidance to their patients.

WHO: Media, Saint Alphonsus staff, and the public are invited to attend a free informational session on advance directives and healthcare decisions, including guidance through completing Idaho state forms and personal advance directives. Interviews with an advance directive and advance care planning expert will be available upon request. Please contact in advance to confirm interviews.

WHEN: April 15th and 16th, 2016 from 11:00a – 2:30p each day.
