New Plymouth, Idaho – April 29, 2013 – Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Ontario continues to expand and enhance services for eastern Oregon and western Idaho families with the opening Wednesday May 1, 2013 of the New Plymouth Clinic.

“The opening of the Saint Alphonsus New Plymouth Clinic further reinforces our commitment to keeping care close to home by partnering with communities,” said Rick Palagi, CEO, Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario. “Families and individuals often have a difficult time finding transportation, and financial resources to travel outside of their communities particularly for primary medical care. That is why the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario is committed to this project. This clinic is equipped to provide needed primary care and will connect patients with more advanced services as needed.”

The Saint Alphonsus New Plymouth Clinic at 213 North Plymouth Avenue is the culmination of a partnership with Internet Truckstop, an internet-based transportation company that employs approximately 130 people in the New Plymouth area. Company officials agreed with the Saint Alphonsus mission of keeping care close to home and helped to make the facility a reality. The 3100 square foot former Internet Trucking building was renovated and made available to accommodate this state of the art healthcare facility.

“We view the Saint Alphonsus New Plymouth Clinic as a wonderful asset for the entire community,” said Scott Moscrip, the owner of Internet Truckstop. “This facility will be a great benefit for the community as a whole. From our founding, our company vision has been to provide innovation and reasonably priced services for the transportation industry. We believe Saint Alphonsus Medical Center –Ontario shares those values as they apply to our community’s health and we are pleased to help support this endeavor.”
