Saint Alphonsus Celebrates Five Years as Integrated Health System
Saint Alphonsus recognizes five years since their integration of
facilities from Boise, Idaho to Baker City, Oregon
Boise, ID – Saint Alphonsus Health System today celebrates its fifth year coming together as a health system, with hospital and clinic facilities stretching from Boise, Idaho to Baker City, Oregon. The integration of the facilities into Saint Alphonsus Health System provided renewed strength to Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Holy Rosary in Ontario, and St. Elizabeth Health Services in Baker City as they joined together with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise to provide the highest quality, most connected care in Idaho and Oregon.
Boise's Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, as the origin of Saint Alphonsus care in the Treasure Valley and beyond, is now able to reach citizens across rural and urban areas of Idaho and Oregon, and brings expertise and resources formerly unavailable in some areas. As a Level II Trauma Center, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center provides coordinated care between their facilities and across other independent facilities, vastly improving the quality and convenience of critical, routine, and preventative patient care. Since the integration of Saint Alphonsus with hospitals in Nampa, Ontario, and Baker City in 2010, Saint Alphonsus in Boise has expanded its available services, facilities, and providers to meet the growing needs and desires of the area.
"It's always been our goal to bring quality care closer to home for Idaho and Oregon, and our integration as Saint Alphonsus Health System has played a major role in accomplishing that," said Dr. David Gough, Interim COO of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. "Not only are we proud to be a part of a system with a mission of faith-based care, we also see the tangible benefits of a system that can stretch across the states of Idaho and Oregon, reaching patients where they work and live."
"We commend the work that is done every day across the Saint Alphonsus Health System," said Rodney Reider, President and CEO of Saint Alphonsus Health System. "Being part of this system allows me to see the passion and hard work of physicians and colleagues across Idaho and Oregon, as we continue to thrive as a transforming healing presence within our communities every day."
