Meet Me Monday Events Celebrate Two Years of

Weekly Exercise in Downtown Boise

Saint Alphonsus' Partnership with Bandanna Running & Walking encourages

local communities to get active each and every Monday evening

Boise, Idaho – June 9th, the Meet Me Monday program will celebrate its second anniversary of weekly exercise in downtown Boise. Meet Me Monday, a health partnership between Saint Alphonsus and Bandanna Running & Walking, has become a staple in local residents' weekly exercise routine. Regardless of weather or holidays, Meet Me Monday offers walking and running routes of 1, 2, and 3 miles in downtown Boise every Monday evening throughout the year. Since its inception in June of 2012, Meet Me Monday attendance has continued to grow, and the events have even expanded to Kuna and New Plymouth.

"Meet Me Monday participants have found that by starting each week off on a healthy foot, it’s easier for them to set healthier patterns throughout the rest of the week," said Corey Surber, Saint Alphonsus Executive Director of Health and Public Policy. "Whether it’s the opportunity for social time, support for a healthy lifestyle, free prize drawings, or the beautiful walking and running routes downtown, people keep coming back. We're extremely proud to see this successful wellness effort reach the two year mark."

The 2nd anniversary of Meet Me Monday will start at 5:15 pm at Bandanna Running & Walking at 5th & Main Streets in downtown Boise (there is no cost to participate). Announcements, prize drawings and the “Get Active” cheer will wrap up the celebration at 6:45 pm on the patio of Wiseguy Pizza at 6th & Main Streets.
