Childbirth Preparation – Lamaze Series (Boise)

About this event

Designed around the Lamaze International Care Practices for Normal Birth, this 6 week series is designed to provide information on prenatal care, labor, delivery, postpartum and breastfeeding. In collaboration with your support team, learn skills necessary to make the best choices for your birthing experience.

Topics Include:

• Nutrition/Stretching/Physical Changes during pregnancy
• Stages of Labor
• What to expect and what to do during labor
• Interventions and Cesarean Birth
• Choices in Childbirth
• Massage/Breathing/Positions for labor and pushing
• Postpartum

The class, Breastfeeding for Beginners, is the 5th week of this series. 

We encourage you to take this class in your third trimester (25-40 weeks). Please register as soon as possible. A tour of the Family Maternity Center is included with this class.

Location: Saint Alphonsus Family Center 900 N Liberty St. Ste 204 Boise, ID 83704

Supplies: Please bring a couple of pillows and a blanket to these classes. All other class materials, including a textbook, are provided.

Fees: Class fees include expectant mom and a support person. When registering, only register for one person.

Financial hardship? Call to inquire about eligibility for a reduced cost for this class.

Refund Policy: No refunds are given for this class, unless it is canceled by us or you are unable to attend due to the early delivery of your baby. Otherwise, participants may transfer to another class within six months of the original class date.
